Suspect: KALASKY, James M. DOB 04/12/1982
resident of 17410 NE Stoney Meadows Drive.
At 01:45 Hrs. the suicidal subject, James Kalasky was taken into custody following SWAT deployment of explosive distraction devices. There were no injuries sustained to Kalasky or law enforcement. Kalasky was transported to CCSO jail and booked on charges of:
Assault 1st degree on a law enforcement officer
Felony Harassment(death threats)
Unlawful imprisonment

At approximately 19:30 Hrs today patrol deputies responded to a welfare check on a suicidal male at a residence 17410 NE Stoney Meadows Drive. The subject was reported to have been armed with a rifle, made threats toward a family member and was making suicidal threats. The suicidal subject refused to come out of the residence or disarm and pointed the rifle in the direction of approaching deputies. The home was evacuated and SWAT along with the Crisis Negotiating Team (CNT) was summoned. A reverse 911 call was placed to surrounding homes advising residents to shelter in place. SWAT team members have the residence contained. CNT is working with the individual for a peaceful resolution to the standoff at this time.
