SINGLE VEHICLE INJURY CRASH DURING ATTEMPT TO ELUDE IN SE SALEM

Oregon State Police (OSP) is investigating a single vehicle injury crash that occurred Monday night during a brief attempt to elude in the area of Lancaster Drive SE and Rickey Street SE in the Salem area. Two people were reportedly transported to Salem Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Preliminary information indicates on August 18, 2014 at approximately 11:17 p.m. an OSP trooper attempted to stop a passenger car for a traffic violation. About a minute later the vehicle's driver lost control and the vehicle ended on its top. Two people were reported injured inside the vehicle and transported to Salem Hospital.
OSP troopers have cleared the scene and are at the hospital continuing to gather information. No names or other details available. A news release will be sent Tuesday morning after 8:00 a.m. when other details are provided.
