PORTLAND FIRE & RESCUE RESPONDS TO AN APARTMENT FIRE IN SW

Firefighters are still on scene (1218 SW Washington) of an apartment fire at the Rosenbaum Plaza Apartments. The fire came in just before 8 PM. The fire originated on the 5th floor and was contained to the unit by an activated sprinkler system. Residents were evacuated while fire crews made sure that the fire didn't spread. A couple of the units suffered water damage and the residents will be assisted by Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation and no one was injured during this incident.
