PORTLAND FIRE & RESCUE KEPT BUSY BY MULTIPLE HIGH PROFILE CALLS

Portland Fire & Rescue companies have been busy this evening responding to several high profile calls.

First, inner SE Portland companies responded to reports of a commercial structure fire at 19th and Belmont. First in companies made access to the building, reported the fire extinguished and shortly thereafter recalled the incident.

Next, Old Town fire companies were called to the scene of a double shooting between SW 3rd and Alder and SW 3rd and Pine. Portland fire conducted operations to ensure the scene was safe and assumed medical care. Firefighters treated and transported two male patients to OHSU with non life threatening injuries.

As firefighters from Truck 1 were being cleared from the 3rd and Pine, calls were received indicating that a group was stuck in an elevator and one of the trapped persons was
having an asthma attack. Truck one firefighters rescued all individuals and provided medical care to the asthmatic patient.

Finally, Southeast companie were dispatched to a residential fire at SE 165th and Morrison. Crews arrived to find an attached garage engulfed in flames. This fire has been brought under control though firefighters remain on scene at this time.

No damage estimates am have been completed. No injuries to civilian or firefighters are reported as a result of either fire.
