Firefighters were dispatched to the vicinity of 20Th Ave. and SE Taggart for a gas leak. The line was accidentally severed by someone digging. One home has been evacuated for precautionary reasons and NW Natural is en route. Fire crews will remain on scene until the incident is mitigated.

The Utility Notification Center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and accepts calls from contractors, homeowners, or anyone planning to dig.
