Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers arrested three people wanted on warrants after responding to a report of suspicious activity at the Delaney Road Park & Ride off Interstate 5 south of Salem.

On August 15, 2014 at approximately 11:45 a.m., OSP troopers responded to a report of three suspicious people checking vehicles at the Delaney Road Park & Ride parking lot. Upon arrival, troopers located one person identified as MARIAH RENEE HERNANDEZ, age 18, from Salem, and arrested her on an outstanding Marion County warrant for Forgery in the Second Degree.

Troopers learned at least two men were inside a motorhome parked on private property across the street from the parking lot. The men initially refused to come out to speak with troopers but they eventually came out of the motorhome at approximately 1:10 p.m.

One of the men, MARTIN PAUL VARGAS, age 30, from Salem, was arrested on an outstanding State Parole Board warrant for Parole Violation. The other man, SERGIO LEONEL PICENCO, age 18, from Salem, was arrested on a Marion County warrant for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree.

A fourth person contacted was not wanted and released from the scene.

The three wanted persons arrested were lodged in the Marion County Jail.
