HANDCYCLE STOLEN FROM QUADRIPLEGIC RETURNED BY GRESHAM PD

Gresham, Ore -Working on a tip, Gresham Police Detectives recovered a handcycle that was stolen from a quadriplegic man from Damascus. Kip Johnson had reported the cycle stolen on August 18. A tip that came in to detectives led them to an area near a transient camp on the Springwater Corridor, where they found the cycle.
Detectives were able to contact Johnson, who identified the cycle and took possession of it today at the Gresham Police Department. Detectives are continuing to follow-up leads on the case in the hope of identifying a suspect.
