Portland Fire & Rescue crews are currently working on the scene of a residential fire at SE 117th Ave and Ankeny Street.
Upon arrival, fire crews reported heavy fire from the side of the building in the carport, extending into the eaves of the home. Careful examination revealed that the drop line from the electrical service was impinged by fire, and shortly after it was reported dropped to the ground on top of a car near firefighters.
A cursory search of the home revealed that there were no occupants, however one cat was removed from the fire. A second cat is still accounted for.
Two adults have been displaced by this fire, and are being assisted by the Red Cross.
An investigator is responding to determine cause and damage estimates.
Updates and photos will be posted as they are received.
