CFD#1 firefighters were initially dispatched to a report of smoke in the area of Alder Place, and someone yelling that there was a fire. As a result of additional information, this was upgraded to a full box alarm, which brought: 4 engines, a truck, a battalion chief, and a rescue. The first arriving engine found a house fully charged with smoke, and a fire in an attached garage converted into a room. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, and ventilated the house, to clear the smoke. There were no injuries reported on this incident.
