HIGHWAY 66 WEST OF KLAMATH FALLS CLOSED FOR REMOVAL OF STUCK OVERLENGTH LOAD (PHOTO)

Highway 66 is closed while tow companies work to remove an overlength load blocking the highway about five miles west of Keno. ODOT, Oregon State Police (OSP) and Klamath County Sheriff's Office have been on scene since the incident happened earlier this afternoon.
On May 15, 2014 at approximately 2:00 p.m., a commercial truck driver operating a vehicle transporting a crane on a lowboy trailer was traveling on Highway 66 near milepost 45. While negotiating a curve, the trailer went into the ditch and became stuck blocking the highway.
Latest estimate is the highway may be re-opened after 6:00 p.m. Traffic updates posted by ODOT on TripCheck.com.
