DETECTIVES SEARCH FOR IDENTITY OF DECEASED MAN FOUND IN DITCH

May 15, 2014--Detectives are searching for information and tips related to the identity of a deceased man found in a ditch in rural Washington County this morning.

On May 15, 2014, at about 7:43 a.m., Sheriff's Deputies were called to the community of Midway, in rural Washington County, south of Hillsboro, concerning a deceased man. Sheriff's Deputies were contacted by a local resident who reported finding a deceased male in the ditch next to SW Raynard Road west of SW Midway Road.

Sheriff's Deputies located a deceased adult Latino male in the ditch on the south side of SW Raynard Road. Sheriff's Office Violent Crimes Unit Detectives responded to assist with the investigation. The Washington County Forensic Science Unit also responded to assist in searching for evidence and process the scene.

The Washington County Medical Examiner was on scene and reported no obvious signs of violence associated with the deceased man. It appears the man had been in the ditch since the early morning hours today. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

The identity of the man is not known at this time, he was described as:

?,? About 5' 9" tall
?,? Weighing about 220 pounds
?,? Wearing blue colored Wrangler jeans
?,? Wearing blue and white colored size 12 Nike shoes
?,? The most distinctive clothing worn was a black T-shirt with the words Rhines are Forever with NYC Seventy Two printed in white on the front.
