Note Correction: Crash does not involve commercial truck. Vehicles involved is a pickup driven by victim and a Ford F350 truck pulling a trailer whose driver received minor injuries.

Oregon State Police (OSP) is investigating a confirmed fatal traffic crash that occurred Tuesday evening on Highway 20 near Eddyville. This release contains preliminary information which will be updated Wednesday when available.
Preliminary information indicates on May 20, 2014 at approximately 8:00 p.m., a head-on collision occurred on Highway 20 near milepost 23 involving a pickup and 2013 Ford F350 truck pulling a trailer. The offending pickup's driver was confirmed deceased upon arrival of emergency responders. The driver of the Ford F350 truck was transported with minor injuries.
OSP troopers from the Newport Area Command office are leading the investigation. Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, local fire personnel and ODOT also responded to the scene.
