On March 3, 2014, a Windermere Foundation community reception was held at the Children's Justice Center (CJC) which included over 60 community sponsors and supporters to present a $65,600 donation to CJC's Executive Director, Mary Blanchette.
The Windermere Foundation's fund raising efforts included an Art and Wine Auction held at Royal Oaks Country Club last year. Plans are underway to hold a similar event this September with proceeds once again going to the Children's Justice Center.
The Windermere Foundation has raised over $23 million for programs and organizations that provide shelter, clothing, children's programs, emergency assistance and other services to those in need.
The Children's Justice Center provides a safe and supportive place for child victims of abuse crimes. The center's multidisciplinary response team comes together from across a network of agencies, medical establishments and community-based agencies to provide a comprehensive response that includes supportive and healing services, while investigators and prosecutors effectively identify and hold perpetrators of the abuse in our neighborhoods accountable for their crimes against children. http://www.clark.wa.gov/childrens_justice_center/index.html.
