Washington County Sheriff's Office Child Abuse Detectives are offering a free training to parents and caregivers addressing the issue of child sex abuse. Using case studies from Washington County, they discuss the common myths associated with child molestation and review tactics child abusers use to lure, groom, and offend their victims. The Detectives also share strategies for protecting children from these abusers.
The next class is on Thursday March 13, 2014, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at Christ United Methodist Church located at 12755 NW Dogwood Street, Portland 97229. Additional classes will be announced at a future date.
Due to the subject matter of this training, no children under the age of 18 are allowed.
