ODOT: Valley, No. Coast: U.S. 26 remains closed in both directions at the Quartz Creek Bridge (milepost 24) 4 miles east of Elsie following a multi vehicle crash. A vehicle fire has been extinguished but the road could remain closed indefinitely for cleanup and to assess any damage to the bridge. A detour for westbound and eastbound traffic has been set up using OR 47 and OR 201. Multiple readerboards have been set up on both sides of the crash warning motorists of the closure and detour. Motorists should avoid the area or expect delays. UPDATE
