Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into Thursday morning's single vehicle traffic crash that seriously injured a 25-year old woman along Highway 99 north of Eugene.

Preliminary investigation indicates on February 13, 2014 at approximately 7:45 a.m., a 2004 Chevrolet four-door driven by an adult female from Junction City was northbound on Highway 99 about a quarter mile north of Awbrey Lane near milepost 116. The Chevrolet crossed the center paved median and both southbound lanes, narrowly missing collisions with other vehicles. The Chevrolet struck a ditch and went airborne, then rolled before coming to rest on its stop about 50 feet off the highway.

The car's driver was seriously injured and transported by ambulance to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend. She was using safety restraints. Her name will be released later today.

OSP troopers from the Springfield Area Command Office are continuing the investigation. The driver may have had a medical emergency while driving. Senior Trooper Andy Youngblood is the lead investigator.

OSP was assisted at the scene by Lane Fire Authority and ODOT.
