INJURY TRAFFIC CRASH - HIGHWAY 212 IN BORING (PHOTO)

A Sandy-area woman received non-life threatening injuries Monday morning in a near head-on traffic crash on Highway 212 in Boring. Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers investigated and cited an involved driver.
On February 24, 2014 at approximately 7:25 a.m., a 2008 Toyota Scion two-door driven by AMANDA L. FERGUSON, age 18, from Sandy, was eastbound on Highway 212 near Lani Lane when FERGUSON lost control. The Toyota Scion crossed into the westbound lane were it collided nearly head-on with a westbound 2003 Toyota Corolla four-door driven by JERYL L. McGEE, age 64, from Sandy.
McGEE was transported by AMR ambulance to Oregon Health & Science University for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. She was using safety restraints. FERGUSON was using safety restraints and was not injured. Both vehicles' airbags deployed.
FERGUSON was cited for Fail to Maintain a Lane of Travel.
OSP troopers were assisted at the scene by Boring Fire Department and ODOT. Recruit Trooper Richard Anderson is the lead investigator.
The highway was blocked about 30 minutes and then opened to one lane until cleared about 8:40 a.m.
