February 12, 2014--Washington County Sheriff's Detectives are searching for additional voyeur victims following the arrest of a Portland man. He was arrested after he reportedly took photographs up a young girl's skirt while in a store.

On January 3, 2014, Sheriff's Deputies were called to the Target store at SW 107th Avenue and SW Beaverton Hillsdale Highway concerning a suspicious man. Investigators learned that a man, later identified as Patrick Joseph Buono from Portland, was following a 13 year-old girl around the store. Witnesses told deputies they saw Mr. Buono following the girl inside the store and apparently take two photographs up the girl's skirt unbeknownst to the girl.

The witness told the girl's mother and Target Security what had occurred. Target Security called the Sheriff's Office to investigate the incident. Patrick Buono fled the store prior to the deputy's arrival. After interviewing the involved parties and searching Target surveillance footage, Sheriff's Office Child Abuse Detectives were able to positively identify Mr. Buono as the person who took the photographs.

Today, February 12, 2014, Sheriff's Detectives served a search warrant at Mr. Buono's SE Portland residence. Detectives seized evidence and arrested Patrick Buono without incident.
Patrick Buono is lodged in the Washington County Jail, he is charged with Attempted Invasion of Personal Privacy, and first and second degree Encouraging Child Sex Abuse. He is currently held on $20,000 bail.

Detectives believe there may be additional victims of unreported crimes committed by Mr. Buono. Because Mr. Buono lives in SE Portland and these crimes occurred in Cedar Hills, these crimes could be anywhere in the metro area.

The Sheriff's Office appreciates the alert citizen who reported the crime, and Target for fully cooperating with this investigation.

Detectives are seeking the public's help regarding this case. If you have any information, please call the Washington County Sheriff's Office at (503) 846-2500.
