WILSONVILLE, OR -- On Monday, February 10, City of Wilsonville Public Works staff continues to focus on clearing the City's main streets and laying gravel for traction at key intersections. "Travelers should be extremely cautious on all sidewalks and roadways, and limit driving until conditions further improve," urges Public Works Director Delora Kerber.
All City offices, including the Public Library and the Community Center are open today
SMART Transit continues to offer uninterrupted service, but riders should expect delays and are encouraged to visit www.RideSmart.com for updated information and rider alerts, including links to information on Tri-Met WES schedules.
Republic Services of Clackamas & Washington Co., Wilsonville's garbage-hauling service, is operating and has added additional commercial and residential trucks; however, Republic Services is not running normal routes and is delaying service to higher elevations until the afternoon.
For residential customers, garbage and commingle-recycling service has resumed, but lower priority yard debris will not be picked up until street conditions improve. Glass may be picked up if doing so does not delay the higher priority of garbage and recycling pick-ups.
To expedite commercial trash pick-ups, the company has added helpers on each route to assist with gaining access to trash receptacles. Commercial service is a top priority, but the company warns it may be difficult to reach some receptacles in parking lots and enclosures. In the event that a receptacle is not emptied, pick-up will occur on the next regular service day at no additional charge. Republic Waste Services may be contacted at 503-682-3900.
