VANCOUVER POLICE SEEK ASSISTANCE TO LOCATE ENDANGERED INFANT

The Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Unit is seeking assistance from the public to locate a missing, endangered 5 month old infant, Jaxon Smith (7/2/13). Detectives are investigating a criminal case involving, Jaxon who is believed to be with one or both of his parents:
Summer B. Smith 7/9/77
Kasey McKernan 5/17/82
Washington Child Protective Services had taken custody of Jaxon pursuant to a court order on 11/27/2013. During the custody transfer, Kasey McKernan snatched the child and fled in a vehicle driven by Summer Smith. McKernan assaulted a CPS worker during this incident and criminal charges are pending against both McKernan and Smith. The vehicle was identified as a black 1996 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck bearing Washington License Plate # A11272U.
