--UPDATE--
-Alex Chisholm Found Safe-
This morning at 6:35 A.M., Sheriff's Deputies received a call from Cascade Security that they saw a suspicious juvenile hiding in the bushes at Indian Hills Elementary School. The juvenile ran away when contacted by the security guard. Deputies that had been searching for Alex Chisholm believed the juvenile may be him.
Sheriff's Deputies showed the security guard a photograph of Alex and he was positively identified as the person that ran from the school. Multiple deputies and officers from Hillsboro and Beaverton Police Departments converged upon the area to assist in the search. At 7:47 A.M., a Deputy Sheriff spotted Alex walking down SW Johnson Street near SW 200th Court. The deputy was able to communicate effectively with Alex and took custody of him without incident.
It is believed that Alex stayed outdoors overnight, therefore deputies had him assessed by medical personnel for possible hypothermia. He was in good health and deputies returned him home safely.
Sheriff's Deputies are encouraging Alex's caretakers to participate in the Sheriff's Office Help Me Home program to avoid future prolonged and potentially dangerous wandering occurrences.
