Posted on FlashAlert: December 11th, 2013 8:35 PM
At 5:35 this evening Firefighters were dispatched to a possible residential fire in the area of Quarry and 3rd St in Oregon City. Minutes later crews arrived at 220 Terrace Avenue to find a very large three story residence with heavy fire involvement on the first floor that was quickly spreading. Firefighters went to work, performing interior firefighting operations, ventilating the structure and searching for possible victims. Due to the construction type and age of the residence, the fire spread very quickly and caused damage to the upper floors and roof. The residence was unoccupied at the time and appeared to being going through a remod el. No injuries have been reported. Fire investigators are on scene now and will be working to determine the cause and estimated dollar loss as a result of this fire. Clackamas Fire was assisted by Canby Fire District, Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue and Gladstone Fire Department.

Clackamas Fire would like to remind people to ensure that they have a working smoke alarm on every floor of the home and outside of all the sleeping areas. Have a Safe and Happy Holiday Season.
