PGE - MON 4:42pm

PGE: PGE crews are reporting difficult progress as they work to restore service to portions of downtown Portland affected by the power outage that began Sunday morning, and now expect the outage to extend through at least midday on Tuesday for the remaining customers affected. After bringing more than half the affected area back online Sunday evening, crews had hoped to complete remaining repairs by late Monday or early morning hours Tuesday, but progress has been slower than expected as crews repair extensive damage in confined, underground vaults. Crews will continue to work through the night and until all customers have been restored. PGE will provide additional updates Tuesday morning as estimated restoration times are refined. A map of the affected area is available at http://bit.ly/18jbFkB. Individuals who work in the downtown core area should consult with their employer to determine whether their workday will be affected on Tuesday. PGE appreciates customers' and the public's patience as crews continue to work as quickly as safety allows to restore service. UPDATE
