Gresham, Ore. - Police are seeking the public's assistance with locating missing Gresham resident Daniel Bauer, 86. Bauer, a diabetic in need of medication who may show some signs of dementia, has a history of getting lost. He was last seen around noon on Dec. 5 when he left his adult foster care home in the 19900 block of SE Stark Street. Bauer is familiar with the Gresham area and drives a white, 2006 Lincoln Town Car (Oregon license plate number SL11080) that is decorated with U.S. Navy bumper stickers.
Bauer's family is additionally concerned for him after recently discovering a .22 caliber handgun is missing and believed to be in Bauer's possession.
Bauer is described as a white male with white hair and a mustache, 5 feet 6 inches tall, and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a grey sweater and blue jeans. (Pictures of Bauer and his vehicle are attached.)
Anyone with information about Bauer's whereabouts is asked to call 911.
