Shortly before 3:30 this morning, Clackamas Firefighters responded to multiple reports of a house on fire in the 12600 block of 22nd Ave. Neighbors reported hearing a loud explosion and then seeing the garage engulfed in flames. Firefighters arrived to find a detached garage fully involved with 20-25 foot flame lengths, spreading to the near by house. Crews quickly went to work pulling hose lines, protecting the nearby home and limiting fire spread and damage.
No injuries were reported and nobody was displaced as a result of this fire.
Neighbors report this to be a vacant home with an extensive history of transients living in the home. Fire Investigators are on scene and conducting witness interviews and searching for clues as to what caused this fire.
