Posted: May 5th, 2013 8:32 AM

At approximately 1030pm last night, Clackamas Fire District #1 Engine 5 was dispatched to a possible tree fire in the area of SE 102nd and SE Hillcrest in the Mt. Scott area. This was a difficult fire to find and to access. Upon arrival, Engine 5 discovered a small structure on fire, with an exposure close by. At that point, they requested a first alarm assignment. The structure appeared to be a detached garage, with a possible living area. Firefighters made an aggressive exterior attack, knocking down the majority of fire, and then entered the building to complete extinguishment. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Clackamas Fire District #1 would like to remind everyone to make sure that your driveway address is clearly marked, and that fire apparatus have clear access to your home, in the event of an emergency.
