INJURY TRAFFIC CRASH - INTERSTATE 5 SOUTH OF COTTAGE GROVE

A 28-year old Yoncalla woman received non-life threatening injuries Wednesday morning after losing control of her car in wet weather along Interstate 5 about three miles south of Cottage Grove.

According to Oregon State Police (OSP) Senior Trooper Gale Cochell, on March 6, 2013 at approximately 9:20 a.m., a 1996 Acura four-door driven by KARA E. LINN, age 28, from Yoncalla, was northbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 169 when she lost control on the wet pavement. The Acura rolled before coming to rest on its top in about 3 feet of water in a road side ditch.

Witnesses stopped and remained with LINN until she was removed from the car by South Lane Fire & Rescue personnel. LINN, who was using safety restraints, was transported by ambulance to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend.

OSP was also assisted at the scene by ODOT.
