GRESHAM, Ore. - On Saturday, March 9, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., U.S. citizens may apply for or renew their passport book or passport card during Passport Day in the USA.
"We are one of only two locations in the metro-area that will be open for Passport Day in the USA this year," said Communications Director Laura Shepard. "Hosting this event is a great opportunity to help people get their passports processed together on a day when many families don't have work and school schedules to juggle."
Passports for children under the age of 16 expire every five years, and to apply for a passport for a child under the age of 16, both parents and the child need to appear in person or bring a notarized "Minor Consent" form signed by the absent parent.
For a list of basic requirements including fees and forms visit GreshamOregon.gov/Passports. Last year the City processed 68 applications during last year's Passport day in the USA event.
