BEAVERTON HOSTS ST. PATRICK'S DAY CELEBRATION DURING BEAVERTON FARMER'S WINTER MARKET

The city is helping the Beaverton Farmer's Winter Market celebrate St. Patrick's Day weekend with musical and dance performances on Saturday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Beaverton City Park.
"We have a great partnership with the Beaverton Farmer's Market," said Mayor Denny Doyle "These St. Patrick's Day performances will complement the market perfectly."
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
* 10:15 a.m. - Sir James McDonald Pip Band
* 10:30 a.m. - An Daire Academy of Irish Dance
* 11 a.m. - Sam Keator hosts an Irish dance demonstration with audience participation
* 11:20 a.m. - Mikey Beglan, world-renowned accordion player. He is also inviting all who can play to bring their instruments for an Irish jam session on stage.
* 11:30 a.m. - Sam Keator hosts an Irish dance demonstration
* Noon - Tim Birr, lead piper of TVF&R Pipes and Drums
* 12:30 p.m. - Irish Dancers from Forest Grove Dance Arts.
For the safety of attendees, SW Washington and Fourth Streets will be closed to through traffic from 9:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
The Beaverton Farmer's Winter Market is open the first and third Saturdays in March and April from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. During the event, the Winter Market is hosting a craft booth for kids to make their own Mr. Potatohead using real potatoes, fruits and other vegetables from the market.
