POWER LINE DOWN HIGHWAY 99 NORTHBOUND NEAR SHERWOOD

At 1:35pm Today, powerlines adjacent to Highway 99 at Chehalem Station road were knocked down by a falling tree. This is a stretch of highway between Newberg and Sherwood. The powerlines fell and struck a moving car. No one was injured and the car way safe to drive. Northbound traffic is affected and only one lane is open. PGE and ODOT are on scene and estimated repair to the power lines will take up to 6 hours.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office and Oregon State Police are on scene.
