UPDATE: FATAL PEDESTRIAN-INVOLVED TRAFFIC CRASH - SE 82ND AVENUE NEAR SE SUNNYBROOK BOULEVARD

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers is continuing the investigation into Tuesday evening's collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian on SE 82nd Avenue (Highway 213S) and SE Sunnybrook Boulevard that has become a confirmed fatality. The victim is not positively identified and the highway is now open in both directions.
According to Sergeant Andy McCool, updated information indicates on January 15, 2013 at approximately 8:20 p.m., a collision involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle occurred. Initially it was reported as serious injury but after emergency responders arrived on scene they confirmed the pedestrian was deceased. The vehicle and operator remained on scene.
The unidentified adult male victim was reportedly crossing SE 82nd Avenue with another male south of the intersection when he was struck by a vehicle. The other subject was not hit. The vehicle's driver was not injured is cooperating with the investigation.
The southbound lanes of SE 82nd Avenue were closed during the investigation for about two hours.
OSP was assisted at the scene by Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Clackamas Fire District #1, Clackamas County Medical Examiner, and ODOT.
Additional information will be released Wednesday.
