Local Women's Photography Group Featured at Beaverton City Hall Through February

LOCAL WOMEN'S PHOTOGRAPHY GROUP FEATURED AT BEAVERTON CITY HALL THROUGH FEBRUARY

Through February, the Beaverton Arts Commission (BAC) will feature works by the group Women Learning Photography Together. The artworks can be found on all three floors of Beaverton City Hall (4755 SW Griffith Drive.) A public reception where residents can meet the photographers will be held on the third floor of Beaverton City Hall on Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 6 p.m.

"The women of this photography group have captured some beautiful images," said Mayor Denny Doyle. "Their passion for this medium can be seen through their varied works and I encourage all to view this innovative exhibit."

Woman Learning Photography Together presents its first group photography exhibit. The featured exhibit, "Growing Together," displays more than 90 images. The photography group was formed in 2008 and currently has more than 150 active members. All women with an interest in improving their photography skills are welcome to join. Beaverton City Hall is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All artworks are for sale.

The Beaverton Arts Commission also has revolving art exhibits at Providence St. Vincent Hospital (9205 Southwest Barnes Road), Cedar Hills Recreation Center (11640 SW Park Way), and the Artisan Salon (4430 SW Lombard Avenue).
