Boring Fire District was dispatched overnight to a motor vehicle crash on the 17000 block of Sunnyside Rd. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a male patient trapped inside the vehicle that was on its side. The crew immediately went to work to stabilize the car so they could safely reach the patient. They were able to get the patient out without the need for heavy extrication equipment. The patient was transported by AMR to OHSU as Life Flight was unable to be activated due to weather.
There were five pieces of fire apparatus, 14 firefighters, three AMR units, one Command unit and CCSO on scene. CCSO remained on scene to help with traffic and to further investigate the cause of the accident.
Boring Fire District would like to remind everyone to always buckle their seat belt.
