SERIOUS INJURY TRAFFIC CRASH - HIGHWAY 99E SOUTH OF WOODBURN

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into Thursday afternoon's single vehicle serious injury crash that occurred along Highway 99E south of Woodburn. One person was taken to a Portland-area hospital and alcohol is being investigated as a possible contributing factor.
According to Sergeant Mark Davie, on December 27, 2012 at approximately 2:45 p.m., a 2002 Hyundai Accent driven by MONTGOMERY A. WALSH, age 41, from Woodburn, was traveling on Highway 99E near Howell Prairie Road NE when the vehicle was involved in a rollover crash. WALSH was ejected from the car and seriously injured. He was transported by Life Flight to a Portland-area hospital.
OSP troopers from the Salem Area Command office are continuing the investigation. Woodburn Fire Department and local emergency responders assisted at the scene.

*Buckle up, every trip, every time.
*Drive defensively at all times.

*And remember, Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over. If you know someone who is about to drive or ride while impaired, take that person's keys and help him or her make other arrangements to get home safely.
