Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are on scene investigating a two-vehicle fatal traffic crash that occurred Sunday afternoon on Highway 35 about two miles north of Highway 26. The crash initially was reported as a single vehicle but after OSP arrived on scene troopers discovered two vehicles were involved. One person was killed in the crash and the victim's name and other information will be released later to allow family additional time for next of kin notifications.

Preliminary information indicates on December 23, 2012 at approximately 2:30 p.m., a passenger vehicle was northbound on Highway 35 near milepost 61 when its driver lost control and slid sideways on the snow/ice covered road into the southbound lane where it was struck in the passenger side by another vehicle. The southbound lane is closed while OSP troopers, with the assistance of crash investigators from Clackamas County Sheriff's Office and West Linn Police Department, investigate. ODOT is also on scene assisting with traffic and scene clearance.
