GLADSTONE OVERFLOW ADVISORY
Posted: December 5th, 2012 10:20 AM
The City of Gladstone experienced a raw sewage overflow on December 4, 2012 into the Clackamas River as the result of excessive rain overloading an intersection point of its wastewater and storm water systems. The discharge occurred at the storm water outfall located at the south end of Portland Avenue and near the confluence of the Clackamas and Willamette rivers. Residents are asked to avoid contact with the rivers for 48 hours due to the bacteria associated with a raw sewage overflow.
