December 19, 2012--Washington County Detectives are searching for possible sex abuse
victims following a softball coach's arrest.
Detectives believe Jeremy Dickey, 38, from Aloha, engaged in inappropriate sexual
conduct with an underage female during the spring of 2012. Detectives arrested Mr.
Dickey on December 13, 2012, originally charging him with several sex crimes, but more
crimes were discovered prompting additional charges. On December 18, 2012, a
Washington County Grand Jury indicted Mr. Dickey for sex crimes. Jeremy Dickey is
lodged in the Washington County Jail, charged with First and Third Degree Sodomy, two
counts of Second Degree Sex Abuse, First Degree Unlawful Sexual Penetration, and
Tampering with a Witness. He is held on $250,000 bail.
The crimes are believed to have been committed in Aloha, an area of the Enhanced
Sheriff's Patrol District (ESPD). Mr. Dickey told investigators he was a coach for a
teenage girl softball team, the Beaverton Blaze 98, located in the Beaverton-Aloha area,
as recently as last summer. Though the underage female victim was not on the softball
team, investigators are concerned there may be additional victims, perhaps involved with
the team.
Detectives are asking parents to talk to their children about anything that was out of the
ordinary, suspicious or inappropriate involving Mr. Dickey and report any findings to the
Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Detectives are seeking the public's help regarding this case. If you have any information,
please call the Washington County Sheriff's Office at (503) 846-2500.
