Clark Co. Sheriff's Office: Santa's Posse could use your holiday help
Santa's Posse is gearing up to provide food baskets and gifts to hundreds of local families in need this holiday season. The program, now in its 15th year, is a partnership among the Clark County Sheriff's Office, Rotary Clubs of Clark County, Fire District 6, Kiewit, Waste Connections, Jesuit High School, Andersen Dairy, KinderCare Learning Centers, Alpine Auto Body, Evergreen Home Loans, John L. Scott Real Estate, Zumiez, Best Buy, Providence Health Systems, Sunlight Supply Inc, Tetra Pak USA, Ridgefield High School, Pacific Junior High School, Gaiser Middle School and other schools within the Vancouver and Evergreen School Districts.
Over the years, Santa's Posse has provided needed food baskets and welcome holiday gifts to thousands of Clark County families. This year, supported by scores of volunteers, corporate contributions and donations, Santa's Posse is set to provide Christmas for 550 families with 1,730 children. We have reached our limit of families we can assist this year.
Donations:
Through Dec. 16th, Santa's Posse will gratefully accept donations of new, unwrapped toys and gifts for children of all ages, as well as non-perishable food, toiletries and cash. They can be dropped at:
* Clark County Sheriff's Office Headquarters, Central or West precincts
* Fire District 6 stations
* Alpine Auto Body locations in the Hazel Dell, Orchards and Cascade Park areas
* KinderCare Learning Centers.
Donations can also be dropped off on December 18-20th between 12pm and 6pm at the unoccupied Best Buy at 9308 N.E. 5th Ave Vancouver, WA 98685.
Monetary donations are tax deductible. Checks can be mailed to Santa's Posse, P.O, Box 410, Vancouver, WA 98666, Attn: Admin Office.

Gift wrapping and basket assembly:
We will wrap gifts and assemble the food and gift baskets beginning at 5 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 20th, at the unoccupied Best Buy at 9308 N.E. 5th Ave., just south of the C-Tran mall in the Hazel Dell area. Please lend a hand, the public is welcome. A light dinner will be provided.
To help stock our food boxes, please bring two canned or boxed food items.
We will be distributing the food boxes and gifts on Sunday, December 23rd.
