VANCOUVER POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING
Posted: November 28th, 2012 9:56 AM

On November 28, 2012 at approximately 4:30 a.m., Vancouver Police responded to Kadow's Marina (10612 NW Lower River Road) for the report of a male that had been shot. When officers arrived they located a 37 year old male who had been shot at least once.

Detectives from the Vancouver Police Major Crimes unit are investigating this incident and indications are that the victim, who lives in Oregon, had come to a location in east Vancouver where he was kidnapped, brought to Vancouver Lake Park and was subsequently robbed and shot. The suspect fled in the victim's vehicle which is a Black 2012 Nissan Sentra with an Oregon temporary plate in the window and license plate frames from 'Beaverton Nissan' (there are no plates in the frame). The victim walked from the park, through a field, toward the marina where he sought help from a resident. The victim's injuries appear to be non-life threatening.

Anyone with information on the vehicle or this incident is asked to call Vancouver Police.

Detectives do not believe at this time there is a threat to the general public. The investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
