SHOOTING LEAVES ONE MAN INJURED

Gresham, Ore.- A 29-year-old Portland resident was transported to Oregon Health & Science University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after he was shot twice in his right leg. Officers with the Gresham Police Department responded to 820 SE 190th Avenue, Portland, Ore., the Grant View Court Apartments, at 6:12 p.m. on the reports of a man shot in the leg. Upon arrival, they located the victim in the northern portion of the complex and learned the shooting happened near the parking lot.
The victim, whose name is being withheld at this time, claimed to not know the man who shot him. He described the shooter as younger, unknown race male who has darker skin, is approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, and was wearing a black beanie-style hat and black coat.
Members of the East Metro Gang Enforcement Team and Gresham detectives are investigating the case. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Gresham Police Tip Line at 503.618.2719.
