Jason Jaynes - Third Suspect Arrested Today in Gladstone Homicide

JASON JAYNES - THIRD SUSPECT ARRESTED TODAY IN GLADSTONE HOMICIDE

On November 8, 2012, members of the US Marshals Fugitive Task force and detectives from the Oregon City Police Department and Oregon State Police arrested Jason Jay Jaynes (dob: 08-31-80) on a warrant for one count of Attempted Aggravated Murder and two counts of Criminal Conspiracy of a Felony. These charges are in connection with the investigation into the death of Debbie Lee Higbee-Benton in Gladstone, Oregon.

Jason Jaynes is the biological son of Susan Campbell, who is already in custody regarding this investigation. Mr. Jaynes has been a resident of Gladstone, but is believed to have been living in Seaside, Oregon, since shortly after the homicide. Mr. Jaynes has apparently been living with an aunt in Seaside.

Jason Jay Jaynes was arrested for a warrant that resulted from a grand jury indictment. The warrant was signed by a Clackamas County Circuit Court Judge on November 6th, 2012. The bail is currently set at $250,000. Mr. Jaynes was arrested around 1:30 pm, in Gladstone, on a traffic stop.


He is being booked into the Clackamas County Jail and will be arraigned tomorrow. No additional information will be released at this time. This investigation is continuing.
