On November 11, 2012 at 7:57 am, Washington County Sheriff's Deputies were called to a residence in the 19900 block of SW Kendall Lane concerning a reported stolen vehicle. This is in Aloha, an area of the Enhanced Sheriff's Patrol District (ESPD). The resident reported that someone had stolen his 2002 Mercedes SUV. A stolen vehicle report was taken and deputies were searching for the vehicle.
Later at 10:37 am, the owner of the Mercedes called the Sheriff's Office to report that he saw his vehicle drive past him while he was walking down the roadway. The owner gave the direction his vehicle was traveling. Deputies quickly located the stolen vehicle and contacted a nearby citizen. The witness told deputies a male and female exited the vehicle and began quickly walking away. The witness was able to provide a detailed description of the male and female. This occurred in the same neighborhood that the vehicle was stolen from.
Deputies quickly located James Alexander Holt, 20 years old from Hillsboro. He was identified as the driver of the stolen Mercedes and taken into custody. As the investigation continued, Mr. Holt was found to have numerous items that appear to have been stolen from vehicles that had been broken into.
Deputies responded to a local hotel and contacted Ramona Culton-Corella, 32 years old from Hillsboro. Ms. Culton-Corella was identified as the passenger in the stolen vehicle and taken into custody.
James Holt was lodged in the Washington County Jail and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Unlawful Entry into a Motor Vehicle. He is held on $20,000 bail. There are more charges pending as the investigation continues.
