On November 8, 2012, Jahi Rashiei McKinney Brown, age 22, of Portland, turned himself in to Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies at about 9:30 p.m.
Mr. Brown provided a statement to the investigating deputy confessing to the hit and run incidents on Halloween day in Clackamas.
He was booked on a single charge of misdemeanor Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver. The entire case will be submitted to the District Attorney for consideration of other charges. Potential additional charges include, Reckless Endangerment, Reckless Driving, and Criminal Mischief.
The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office offers a thank you to the public, who after seeing the media coverage of the investigation, convinced Mr. Brown to surrender himself to the CCSO.
Mr. Brown has a scheduled court appearance on December 6 at 3:00 p.m. in Clackamas County Circuit Court.
