UPDATE: NAMES RELEASED - FATAL TRAFFIC CRASH - HIGHWAY 126 WEST OF REDMOND

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into Saturday night's motorcycle-involved fatal traffic crash that resulted in the death of a Prineville woman along Highway 126 about two miles west of Redmond. The highway re-opened after an over two hour closure. Names of involved persons released in this update.
According to Sergeant Keith Taylor, on October 20, 2012 at approximately 7:20 p.m., a 2007 Honda motorcycle operated by CRYSTAL ANN STROBL, age 35, from Prineville, was eastbound on Highway 126 near milepost 109 following two other motorcycles when they began to slow down for a vehicle ahead of them. The victim didn't slow quick enough and hit the rear tire of a motorcycle operated by JOHN D. JENKINS, age 39, from Bend. STROBL fell off her motorcycle onto the pavement and her helmet came off her head.
Redmond Fire & Rescue personnel responded first and pronounced STROBL deceased at the scene.
JENKINS brought his motorcycle to a safe stop and wasn't injured.
OSP troopers from the Bend Area Command office are continuing the investigation. OSP was assisted at the scene by Deschutes County Sheriff's Office, Redmond Fire & Rescue, and ODOT.
The highway was re-opened about 9:45 p.m.
