UPDATE #2: VICTIM NAME RELEASED - FATAL TRAFFIC CRASH - SHOREVIEW DRIVE NEAR DORENA LAKE IN LANE COUNTY (PHOTO)

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into Wednesday afternoon's traffic crash along Shoreview Drive near Dorena Lake that resulted in the death of an adult male motorcycle operator. The victim's name is released in this update.
According to Sergeant Alan Gilbert, on October 17, 2012 at approximately 4:15 p.m., a 2012 Ural motorcycle with sidecar operated by MICHAEL DUNCAN MELLOR, age 63, from Dorena, was eastbound on Shoreview Drive near milepost 2 east of Gillespie Road when MELLOR lost control negotiating a curve, crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a westbound pickup.
MELLOR was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was wearing a protective helmet.
The pickup's driver and passneger were transported by ambulance to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend with non-life threatening injuries. They are identified as driver MATHEW HENRY, age 19, from Dorena, and passenger JANNELLE LAMM, age 17, from Cottage Grove.
OSP troopers from the Springfield Area Command office are continuing the investigation into the cause of the crash. Senior Trooper Blaine Hlebechuk is lead investigator.
OSP was assisted at the scene by Lane County Sheriff's Office and South Lane Fire Department. The roadway was restricted to one lane of travel for over two hours during the investigation.
