SMOKE ALARM DEMONSTRATION

On Tuesday October 16, 2012 Clackamas Fire will be demonstrating the effectiveness of smoke alarms in the home through a live fire demonstration. The demonstration will be done in a side by side burn trailer, set up to resemble a room in a single family residence and will clearly illustrate how quickly a smoke alarm will alert a family inside. The demo will further show how rapidly fire builds and spreads in a residence. As October is Fire Prevention month, this safety message is very timely in educating our community about the effectiveness of Smoke Alarms in the home.
The demonstration will be held at the Clackamas Fire Training Facility located at 15800 SE 130th Ave in Clackamas.
