The Oregon State Police (OSP) Fish & Wildlife Division from the The Dalles Area Command office is asking for the public's help in locating the person(s) responsible for the unlawful killing and waste of two forked horn buck deer found Tuesday within the city limits of The Dalles.

On October 2, 2012 at approximately 8:30 a.m., OSP was notified by a citizen that two buck deer carcasses were left at the St. Vincent De Paul store near 9th Street and Garrison Street in The Dalles. The deer were discarded at the location between Monday night and Tuesday morning. A trooper responded to the store and seized the carcasses for evidence. A portion of the meat was taken from both carcasses and the remainder was left to waste.

A reward of up to $500 is being offered by the Oregon Hunters Association Turn-In-Poachers (TIP) reward program for information leading to the arrest and conviction in this case. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact Trooper Justin Frazier at (541) 980-1225 or email justin.frazier@state.or.us.
