A commercial truck driver was uninjured Monday morning after losing control of his truck pulling a trailer filled with wood chips and crashing off Highway 58 east of Oakridge.

According to Trooper Josh Wolcott-Peterson, on September 17, 2012 at approximately 6:00 a.m. the truck and trailer were traveling westbound on Highway 58 near milepost 42 negotiating a right curve when it lost control, went off the road and turned onto its side. The vehicles came to rest down an embankment not blocking the highway. The truck's driver, KERRY J. SENGER, age 45, from Salem, was not injured. He was cited for Fail to Maintain a Lane of Travel.

Northwest HazMat responded to the scene due to a small leak from a diesel tank.

OSP, Oakridge Police Department, Oakridge Fire Department and ODOT responded to the scene. The truck and trailer will be removed from the site later today.
