LARGE FIGHT IN PARK LEADS TO MULTIPLE STABBINGS, ONE DEATH

Gresham, Ore -A fight in a Gresham Park involving several people has left one person dead and several others with stab wounds. Police detectives are working through speaking with witnesses and victims to determine exactly what happened.
Police were dispatched to Pat Pfeifer Park, 402 NE 172 at 4:04 a.m. on September 23 on reports of a fight. Police arrived and found some of the victims. At about that time, several persons took themselves to area hospitals with stab wounds related to the fight.
One adult female involved in the fight died as a result of injuries sustained during the fight. She was found by officers who responded and was then taken by ambulance to Emanuel Hospital where she later died of her injuries. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
There is no further information at this time.
