Oregon State Police (OSP) arrested a Tidewater-area man September 14th after a Lincoln County grand jury indicted him on multiple charges related to an investigation into a late June 2012 alcohol-involved traffic crash on Highway 34 that seriously injured a child and her grandparents.

DAVID PARKER JUENKE, age 59, was arrested by OSP after he was indicted on the following charges:

* DUII
* Reckless Driving
* Assault in the Second Degree (2 counts)
* Assault in the Third Degree (3 counts)
* Recklessly Endangering Another Person (3 counts)
* Misdemeanor Driving While Suspended

JUENKE is still in custody at the Lincoln County Jail.

The arrest followed an investigation into a traffic crash on June 26, 2012 at approximately 6:10 p.m. on Highway 34 east of Tidewater near milepost 16. A 1983 GMC pickup driven by JUENKE was eastbound when it failed to negotiate a curve and crossed the centerline. The pickup crashed nearly head-on into a westbound 2012 Toyota Camry with three occupants who were seriously injured identified as driver JAMES SZABO, age 63, and passengers JANE SZABO, age 62, and KATELYN CARLSON, age 9.
